What’s new at the Church of the Redeemer 

 

Confirmation at Redeemer March 14, 2010

 

* On Sunday, March 14, the Rt. Rev. D. Bruce MacPherson, Bishop of the Western Diocese of Louisiana, preached and administered the Rites of Confirmation and Baptism.  Those confirmed were:  Cyndy Drewry, Candis Carnahan, Savannah Holden, Trevor Holden, Alonge Olumicle, Katie Wilkerson, Robert Kyte, Sarah Wilkerson, James Wilkerson, Ajoke Omolade Jagunna, Jim Wilkerson, Maggie Manning, Caroline Hill, Oluwafolajimi Abimbola Jagunna, Elizabeth Guinn, Natalie Hogan, and Charlotte Hudson.  John Kyte was received, and Annie Rose James, daughter of Matt and Jill James was baptized.  Also pictured are:  Bishop MacPherson, Parker Carwile--Bishop's Chaplain, Fr. Jim Benbrook--Rector, and Rev. Polly Anderson--Deacon.

 

*Congratulations to our High School Graduating Seniors:  Molly Benbrook, Mary Taylor Carwile, Gwen Hedgepeth, Margaret Hindman, Savannah Holden, Zack Johnston, and Will Smart.

 

*Contemporary Holy Communion services for the Canterbury College group will be held the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month October thru May at 5 p.m. when La. Tech is in session, beginning Sunday, September 12th.
